A Simple Man

A wedding on the 1st day of 2008... wow that was unexpected really but my 3rd bro was finally getting married on this very day itself. His wife is a vietnamese and i only got to know he had a wife and the sudden marriage 2 weeks back >.<

"He is a simple man, thats what he is". These words came from my 3rd aunt. I totally agree with it.

My 3rd bro wasnt very good in his studies. Since young he has shown it in his report cards that studies was just not his cup of tea. Since graduating from Eunos Pri, he moved on to ITE to further his studies. He didnt have a lot of friends either. I could only vividly recount 1 or 2 of his best friends. They were like him who werent good in studying as well.

From ITE, he went on to help out Dad in his business. He doesnt really have much choices to make. I really guess helping dad was the only route to ensure him to survive in this society. Thus he went on and helped Dad in managing the day to day business. He helped Dad to manahed his workers as he was in the construction and renovation business. He was acting sort of like a foreman kind of position.

As hard as i can, i can rarely recall what hobbies this bro of mine has. He was however particularly into cars and such. Dad bought a 1st Mitsubishi lancer shared between me and him. He took the effort to change the parts to make the machine go faster and even installed wings at the back. He joined the Mitsubishi Lancer Club and make several friends. Suprisingly, one of his frds happens to be a NTU classmates of mine. In Dec 2005, he got into an accident and smashed the lancer to bits. It was scary from the looks of the photos but the relieve was that he suffered only some neck fractures.

The marriage was simple and held at furama hotel. A simple man indeed he was. He doesnt go for materialistic things in this world, just leading a plain and simple life. We agreed that it was indeed hard for such a guy like him to find a singaporean wife.

I wish to wish this bro of mine a happy marriage. Congrats!!!!

Credit Cards

Well.. recently some guy from UOB called me to ask if i wish to upgrade my card from the normal classic Visa to the Platinum Visa and Platinum Mastercard. Hmm? I am not even earning 50K a mth... do i qualify? Then he told me that the requirement is only 30K a mth income... wow... isnt that the same requirement as the normal credit card application? After some discussion, i told him to email me the applicaiton and i fax it back. Initially i only signed for 1 card which is the VISA Platinum, then the admin called me again and ask me to sign up for the Mastercard as well... ok lor... since i more or less will cancel it when the 1 year free waiver is up.

Well this week's Karazhan run wasnt so bad. We managed to down Prince in a space of 2 days (Cleared Aran on Day 1). But i didnt managed to get the EPIC CLOAK!!!! haiz... nmind... i not so greedy anyway.. and the 2 T4s that dropped no one could use it and was left to rot!!!!!! shitty.

Gruul Conquered

Well... Gruul was conquered last night. But could had been downed earlier only that Nacro did not pass out flask to the DPS to do a better job. It was only like mutiple atttempts later that he decided to hand out the flasks to them and we managed to down it. Well its not a bad strategy considering that he is trying to get ppl to get used to the Gruul fighting method b4 he actually allowed the use of flasks.

Recently have been feeling kinda strange.. not sure the reason... but tend to feel taht the world is a small place for me... haha wierd. Nothing exciting or new to explore at the moment. Maybe time to change a new job.... or meet someone new... hmmmm dunno whats the reason.

Went to the games shop to check out the price of the PSP. Well its wasnt that expensive taking into accounts that the camera + casing +PSP is selling is charging for around $370. Well the downside is that i wont be able to play downloaded ISO games. Hmmmm well.. i am still thinking about it. I really need my PSP back!!! Well even if i am getting one, i should be buying the gold color version. Its seems better then the blue color... But first things first.. i need to get my com ready up. Its about time that i finally upgrade my computer with a better speed, Graphics and Vista ready.

Month End

Finally the month end for May is coming to an end. Dun be mistaken. What i mean by month end is not the end of May but that the end of the account closing for May. Finally i can relax a bit ... actually i mean relax a lot as from now till June will be a very relaxing period.

I seems to be getting sick of playing games... The reason being that it is getting nowhere. I agree that playing game has become a habit to me but recently it has become more of a reflex actions to me. Same old stuffs and doing the same things just tend to bore me out. I need some challenges and WOW doesnt seems to excite me anymore. I see loots drop i dun even feel like taking... i see new loots coming out i do not feel the passion to talk about it. I am currently playing jsut coz there isnt any things better to do. Anyway recently my com has been hit by some lag issues... my ping can go from 300 ms to 3000 ms. This laggy situation further adds on to the bad experience in gaming.... sighz... anything better to do out there?

Mayday

May... its the fifth month of the year... in another words, its Mayday. Yes Mayday will be performing in Singapore in June.. how ironic. They should perform in May so that they can really claim the title of Mayday!!!!

Spiderman 3 was finally launched on 1st May 2007. Due to work and some stuffs, i didnt really ask ppl to go watch. In the end, it seems that everyone else had watched the show already :(
how how anyone else who haven watch and wan to go watch together one mah???
Hope Pirates of teh Carribean wont be the same fate.. :D

Cloudy Sunny Rainy...

Its been more then 1 mth since we changed guild. There seems to be some good things and some bad things on the changein guild. Shall talk on the bad things first. Firstly, we have to give up our dkp that we had accumulated in Tempest. Tats pretty bad considering that we are quite old bird in our guild and thus it wasnt a very easy decision.... Secondly, it didnt really turned out to be as good a place for some of us. CG and Vodka seems to be quite unhappy with how POD run the guild... or shall i say the way that the POD RL choose ppl to go for BWL or raids. Well, they did promise us that they will give us spots to raid but then i think it will still take time bah.. sighz... these problem were to be expected anyway.

The good things are that we were able to loot stuffs based on dkp. Gone are the times whereby the GM decided on loot priority hahaha. Ohh and i was able to use my alt (warrior) to go for MC run and thus able to equip with epics... hohoho... tanking was never an easy job and its quite stressful if u cant keep the aggro man... but nevertheless... its fun!!!

Been lazy to train my mage hunter these days... kinda stagnant at lvl 30++. Its already pretty hard to manage my lvl 60 lock, warr and priest... sighz.. but nmind.. guess i try to get 8 lvl 60s bah. hardcore!!!! haha

Went with serene for supper last sat. Not going to call it off again as we had already delayed it for 1 mth i think >.<... waited for her to sms me when she was ready as she was shopping in town with Laura. Went to cineleisure and waited at the side while she slowly took her time to appear. And she bought 3 clothes from topshop... she seems to becoming a TopGer ... always buy stuffs from there. Was kinda suprised as she always seems to take her time in choosing wat to buy... and this time she spent $200++ in 1 day.. omg!!!

Brought her to Bedok 85 to eat porridge... well she is a bit fussy when it comes to eating.. nasi lemak cannot, chicken rice cannot... blah blah blah. Well at least she said the porridge was nice!Then went to PS to check if there is any movie slots. Wanted to watch a movie but she was kinda tired and decided to settle for a drink at Mac Cafe instead so we went to East Coast for drinks. So we went and sat for 2 hrs ++ before we got real tired and her eyes were red.... so ke lian.. must be all the hard work from working... so we went home and slept at 5am... ZZzzzz

Change of Guild

Finally, We have decided to move on from Tempest and move to Phantom Of Dragons (POD). The main reason being Adelwine who is also the GM becoming a bitch on her rules and regulations in running the guild. Enough of having a Noob GM ... time to move on to loot more stuffs.

National Day

Wow.... so fast August liao and national day has just passed. Yesterday there must had been lots of fireworks at the esplanade and marina.. but i didnt catch any of it haha. Went to tingwei's house at pasir ris to celebrate. Kirby, Quek and Gary also went and we had a nice dinner of steamboat. We went to a cold storage at pasir ris to buy all the things that we need. After that we washed up the ingredients and plates as the place was not occupied like for 8 mths.... so long sia... of coz god webs and dirts!!! Then spent the nite there playing winning eleven and other games. Slept a few hours and went east coast to see babes and eat lunch. There were so many people at east coast and that i feel like i am at Orchard Road walking. There were many babes around... shd go to the beach more often on a public holiday. Then suddenly, I saw NYC!!! Huh what she doing on the beach? With Who!!!... I waved to her only and then walked off.. she seems to be with her parents.. so worried... but how come i can bump into her... must be fate... hahahahah so qiao!!!

Been looking for jobs sia... the minimum pay for a grad is around 1.8k nowadays... hmmm if possible shd try to aim for a pay with ard 2.2k and above. No one study to the Uni and accept a less then 1.8k lor.. but there are still cases i heard. This week seems lucky as a lot of good jobs being posted up. Got many foreign banks and consulting firms and magmt trainees positions. Seems like Mgmt position has the best prospects, followed by consulting firm with the best pay and lastly banks position being the worst which is underpaid and working overtime. So many people going to insurance dunno y... well can earn big if u are good but also depends... haha best is getting a first class and becoming an insurance agent. Anyway got an offer from a foreign bank with more then 2k job now.... hmmmmmmmm

I must say that teachers must be very busy ... .why... coz joanna seems to be always on busy mode all the time. And always not free to go out... i dun hate all christian becoz she is around and she is a good one. May God Bless All.....

Newton Dinner

Went with Nyc, Damian and Jane for dinner at newton on sunday. Reached there at around 6:35 and thought i was going to be late. But then turns out that i was the earliest. Nyc sms me ask me where i was and that she was already at the newton mrt station waiting also. hmmm she didnt drive... thats so unusual of her. Where are all the brand cars she is driving. Then Damian arrvied too soon after with Jane the only one who was late as usual. So we sat at one corner to chit chat while we were waiting. We didnt ordered drinks at first becoz we thought of waiting for Jane first. Then Damian went to order sugar cane from a stall some distance away because the owner behind us wasnt around. When the owner came back he asked us where we got the drinks and he seemed unhappy. The competition was really tight over there at newton.

Jane finally arrived and we ordered Stingray, Kangkong, Lala, Tiger prawn and oyster eggs. Nyc cant eat chilli stuffs and so tried not to eat as much hot stuff as possible. After eating the filling meal, we went on chating a while then decide to go somewhere else for a drink. Couldnt think of a place and in the end decided on Holland Village. Jane and Nyc took Damian's car to holland V first while i went to pick Kangmin up. This reservist guy was having ICT and was able to book out on weekends. He attended his music school performance and was able to go off at 9pm so i asked him if he wanted to join us.

Reached Holland V and luckily i was able to find a place to park my car. Usually it was pretty crowded on weekends. Holland V is really a very cool place to hang out with with the many cafes and restaurants to try out there. Went to a cafe called Essential Bleu. The concept of the cafe was a japanese style and we went upstairs and have to take off our shoes. Quite a nice place to go to and chit chat. Ohh.. btw its a cafe but its actually selling tea instead. The drinks were okok only bah... maybe can go back try more next time. Kangmin ordered some finger food as he did not have his dinner yet. Then Damian left at 1045 as he has to send his brother to camp. We stayed a while more and left as the cafe was closing at11pm. Then i sent them to Jurong East mrt as they all live in the west... Went home and saw panda online.. hmm no one was playing sia and he is getting quite hardcore in dota... not to mention getting more pro. Fox soon came in too and we played a few games thru the nite.

NTU Transcript

Went back to school today to collect the university transcript. Missed the journey as i was driving along PIE back to NTU. Been travelling to and back on this expressway almost everyday to school and kinda miss the scenery on the road. Generally hated the feeling to travel to school in the morning due to the sleepiness and liked the journey back in the evening... And everytime pass thru cjc will bring back some memories i had during my JC life.

Reached school and joined Kangmin for breakfast at mac. Damian joined us shortly. Walked to the Nanyang audit and saw many ppl there. Some people i haven talked for a while and some people whom i never talked to before. Many familiar faces. Went up and queue up to collect the transcript... Yes... Queue up... hahaha. Inside ppl were trying their gowns and all these. Collected the paper which took me 3 years and 2 tix for the convocation nite. Then went off with Wendy Ong and Kangmin. Sent Kangmin to the mrt and took wendy to orchard as she had to make her way to raffles place to sign her contract for her job. Dun sign la... so little pay hahaha... enjoy life while u can mah.

Then met up with damian at cineleisure where we bought batman begins tix. Not say bought coz damian was able to get 2 free tix.... so good. Waited for 90 mins because we were too early. went shop around and had a drink at mos burger. Batman was quite a good movie eh... not that classic batman though.. but the movie was quite entertaining nevertheless..

Marina Bay

Went with Jane and Kangmin to eat BBQ at marina bay. Reached there around 6pm coz our miss chew was kinda late in meeting with kangmin at jurong east mrt... ^%$@!#*!@%!@. So we went to the one which they give us live prawns and crabs. Ate a whole lot of meat and ya it was quite nice and fun to eat there once in a while. However our clothes and hair will smell very badly due to the smoke that was floating all around us.

After eating we went to city hall to have some drink. Wanted to drink at cafe cartel but then there was no table inside and we wanted to have some air con. So in the end we went to starbucks and drank there instead. There was air con inside due to the covered area in there. So drank a bit and went home at around 11plus.


Damian House Warming

Went down to cineleisure at 12pm to buy ticktes for the movie mr and mrs smith which i had asked jane to watch with me. Wanted to go down and get the tickets first becoz i scared that tickets will be sold out becoz its a saturday and singaporean have nothing better to do on a saturday then to watch movies...

Reached cineleisure again at 4:35pm... phew.. coz of the jam at orchard road... there are just too many cars on the road. so called jane and she said she was at outram park... arrhhh.. she will be late hahahaha. So waited at the 5th floor for her.. finally she arrived at 0457 and we quickly went in to watch the show. We missed maybe 1-2 mins of the show bah... The show was quite good and its quite funny. Didnt know that brad pitt was such a funny actor eh.

After the show we went around to shop for a gift for damian's house warming. Jane suggested getting some gift vouchers for him and i didnt had anything in mind so i said ok. We wanted to go best denki first before we go try istean becoz we didnt know whether best denki does sell any gift vouchers. So we went to taka and bought $30 vouchers there shared be me, jane and nyc. Jane called nyc where she was and apparently she was at city hall looking at some gifts that we can buy for Damian. So we suggested meeting her since she dunno the way to Damian's house. I told her to meet us at orchard mrt since its on the way to toapayoh. Then she sms jane tell her she lazy to get off at orchard and would meet us at toa payoh instead. kaozzz.... so slack ger...

Finally picked nyc at toa payoh mrt.. and we reached damian's 39 storey high house... haha seems like it was his brother's birthday. So we went in and took some leftover foods... he didnt keep some food for us.. kaoz. His house is very nice. The view from 39 storey was damn awesome. The night view was really something we cant find anywhere and he can see it everyday, just from his room.. wah so shiok...



Then we chat a while and find out what each of out friends have been doing... appaparently some of us haven find jobs la... hahahah u know who. Then we took some photo hehejust for fun to test my new phones. haha make nyc wanan buy this phone also lolx. Then after that sent nyc and jane to the mrt at city hall where she lft her car... .duhz... rich ger!!!
